Refund Policy
How prices, payments, cancellations and refunds are handled.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
Prices, payments, cancellations and refunds at breaknixup follow the rules below. Every service is agreed individually by telephone, email or in person, so nothing is ordered or paid for on breaknixup.org itself.
Quotations and confirmation of an order
Before any work begins, we agree the service and its price with you, in a written quotation or by email. A quotation is based on the information you give us and is valid for the period it states; the order is binding once you accept it and we confirm the date in writing.
Paying invoices
Invoices are due within 14 days of their date unless another term has been agreed in writing; the accepted payment methods are listed on each invoice. For larger jobs, an advance payment or payment in instalments can be agreed in the quotation. If an invoice stays unpaid, we send a written reminder before taking further steps.
Cancelling or moving an appointment
You can cancel or move an appointment free of charge up to 48 hours before the agreed time by calling 01722 410286 or writing to hello@breaknixup.org. If you cancel later, or nobody is there when we arrive, we may charge for work already done and for costs we can no longer avoid, though we would rather find a new date.
Cancellation on our side
Should we be unable to keep an agreed appointment, we contact you straight away, explain why and suggest another date as early as we can. If you would rather not reschedule, we refund what you have paid for the part of the service not provided, in full and without any cancellation charge.
How a refund is made
Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of the refund being agreed; where that method can no longer be used, we transfer the amount to a bank account you confirm to us in writing at hello@breaknixup.org. We deduct no processing fee. Where a service was carried out as agreed, its fee is not refunded, and for partly completed work we refund what was not provided, less any material or third-party costs agreed with you beforehand.
Complaints about our work
Complaints about the quality of a service should reach us at hello@breaknixup.org within 14 days of the work being completed, and can also be raised beforehand by telephone at 01722 410286. We respond within a few working days and agree with you how the matter is to be put right, by reworking the service or by refunding part of the fee.
Cancelling a distance contract
Consumers who conclude a contract with us at a distance or away from our business premises have a right to cancel it within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. A clear statement sent to hello@breaknixup.org before that period ends is enough, and work you had already asked us to begin is then settled separately.
